What is Gujarat Shramik Basera Yojana?
Gujarat Shramik Basera Yojana was started by the Chief Minister of Gujarat “Bhupendra Patel” on 18 July 2024. Under which temporary housing will be provided to the soldiers living in the state of Gujarat at the rate of ₹ 5 per day i.e. 150 rupees per month. It will be looked after by the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
The benefit of this scheme will be available to the workers who work from one place to another in the state. For this, houses will be built in four cities of Gujarat state at a cost of Rs 1500 crore and in the next three years the Shramik Basera Yojana will be expanded and about 3 lakh construction laborers will be given its benefit and in the coming time this scheme will be expanded further.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant applying for Shramik Basera Yojana must be a resident of Gujarat.
- The applicant should be a construction worker.
- The worker should be registered with the Building and Other Construction Labor Welfare Board.
- The age of the candidate should be between 21 years to 60 years.
- The candidate should have membership of the Labor Welfare Board as a construction worker for 3 years.

The main objective of starting Gujarat Shramik Basera Yojana is to provide temporary houses to the workers working in the state of Gujarat.
