Eligibility Criteria
If you want to apply for a Telangana ration card, then it is mandatory for you to fulfill some important criteria. If you fulfill the conditions set by the Telangana government for ration card, then only you will be given Telangana ration card. Eligibility for ts ration card is as follows:-
- If an applicant wants to apply for a Telangana ration card, then he must be a local resident of Telangana.
- The annual income of any person should not exceed Rs 1 lakh to apply for a Telangana ration card.
- It is also mandatory for the applicant to be 18 years of age or above to apply for a ration card in Telangana.
- Before applying for a Telangana ration card, the applicant must ensure that he does not already have any ration card, only then he can apply for a Telangana ration card.
Types of Telangana Ration Card
Ration card is a government document which is made in the name of the head of the family according to the annual income of any family. There are mainly three types of ration cards, we have mentioned about it below:-
BPL Ration Card:- BPL ration card is given in the state to those people or families who are living their lives below the poverty line of the state. The annual income of these families is less than ₹ 10000. Any family which is given a BPL ration card is provided a 25 kg ration by the government every month.
APL Ration Card:- APL ration card is given in the state to those people or families who are living their lives above the poverty line of the state. The annual income of these families is more than ₹ 10000 and their annual income should be maximum ₹ 100000.
Antyodaya Ration Card:- Antyodaya ration card is given to those families in the state who are poorer than the people living below the poverty line. These families do not have any annual income nor do they have any means of earning. In such a situation, the families of these card holders are provided up to 35 kg of ration every month by the government.
