Eligibility Criteria
To apply for EWS certificate, you must fulfill the following criteria:
- Belong to the general category
- Should not own agricultural land exceeding five acres
- Income not exceeding Rs 8 lakh per annum
- Should not own a residential house/flat (except in notified municipal areas) or leased property having an area exceeding 100 sq. ft.
- Should have a residential plot not exceeding 100 sq. yds in notified municipal areas or urban areas below the lower limit of notified area i.e. not exceeding 240 sq. yds in non-notified municipalities.

The main objective of EWS Certificate is to provide opportunities to deprived persons by giving 10% reservation to economically backward applicants of general category and to implement reservation on the basis of income and to ensure that other castes are not eligible for this facility

- To know the status of the EWS certificate, you need to visit the official service online website of the state which is provided by the central government.
- To check the status on the portal, type in your username, password and captcha code.
- After that, log in to your profile first.
- On that dashboard, you will see a box labeled “Check Meeseva Certificate” and click on it.
- After that, you will be redirected to another page and enter your application number in that field.
- Finally, when you click on the go button, the status of the application will appear on the screen.
