What is NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme
You should know that a few days after Chandrababu Naidu became the new Chief Minister of the state, the name of YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme was changed to NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme. The total amount of pension given under this scheme was also increased from Rs 3 thousand to Rs 4 thousand.
Through this initiative, now the elderly, widows, masons, fishermen, handloom workers, single women, drummers and transgender state residents will be given a pension of Rs 4 thousand per month, and this money will be deposited in their bank account for three months in July. This scheme will greatly improve the social status and standard of living of the economically weaker residents of Andhra Pradesh.

The main objective of NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme is to provide financial assistance to elderly, disabled and widowed women. Through this, the government wants to empower those individuals who are deprived of their means of income and whose basic needs are not being met. This scheme attempts to improve the living standards of the weaker sections of the society by providing them economic security.

- Financial assistance of ₹4,000 is received in the form of monthly pension.

- The pension amount under the scheme has been increased on the basis of disability:
- ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 for general disability.

- The higher pension was introduced on April 1, 2024 and ₹7,000 was paid on July 1, 2024 with three months’ arrears. Now a pension of ₹4,000 is being received every month.
- The pension for long-term diseases such as bilateral elephantiasis, kidney, liver and heart transplant, and CKD not on dialysis has been increased from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 per month.
- Senior citizens aged 60 years and above, widows, disabled persons and other needy people are eligible for pension under the scheme.
