It was followed by Kurdabashri Scheme and launched by the Government of Karnataka (RGRHCL Status) to identify people who were left out of the ambit of decentralized poverty alleviation programmes.
In a unique initiative under the scheme, the Gram Panchayat was entrusted with the task of preparing customized micro-projects for each village household. Ashraya Scheme will be financed by RGRHCL with the contribution of funds from Gram Panchayat, Block, District Panchayats, Central and State Government.
