Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian citizens can apply for a UDID card.
- If you have a disability in any part of your body, then you can get a UDID card.
- Only disabled people can get a UDID card.
Benefits and features of UDID Card
- Under this Act, provision of free education has been made for disabled children between 6-18 years.
- Reservation quota for disabled citizens has been increased from 3% to 4%.
- 4% reservation is given to disabled applicants in jobs in government departments.
- Under the Act, if a disabled person is publicly humiliated, there is also a provision for punishment.
- District level committees are being formed by the state government to hear the complaints of disabled persons.
- Broad-based central and state advisory boards are being formed as the top policy making body at the central and state levels.
- Rights have been improved in the Chief Commissioner for Disability and the State Commissioner’s Office.
- Provision of scholarship scheme has been made for disabled students.
- Sixth disability pension in income tax, reservation in government jobs, concession in rail fare, free travel in state transport buses have been given.
- Loan is given to start your own business.
- Unemployment allowance to educated disabled persons, subsidy on purchase of assistive devices like wheelchair or artificial limbs, group insurance for handicapped government employees, subsidy in purchase of adapted vehicles, incentives to people who donate eyes, exemption on toll tax with Toll Free Fast Tag.
- Many schemes have been started by the government to benefit disabled persons such as PM Viklang Awas Yojana, Viklang Pension Yojana etc.
Types of Disability
There are 20 types of disabilities under the Disability Act prescribed by the government. After assessing these types, the type of disability of the disabled person is written in the certificate. And the percentage (%) of disability is also written.

- Now click on Track Your Application Status.
- Here you enter the application ID, mobile number or Aadhaar card number

How to download UDID Card
The process of downloading the PDF of UDID Card is very easy. For this, follow the steps given below
- First of all come to the homepage of the official website
- After this click on the link of Download Your e-Disability Card
- Now to login, you have to enter the captcha code after entering the Enrollment Number and Date-of-Birth.
- And now click on the Login button
- As soon as you click on the login button, you will reach the dashboard page.
- Here you have to click on Download Your E-UDID Card.
- As soon as you click on this link, your UDID Card PDF will be downloaded.
